Road conditions vary from hard packed ice across all lanes on Highway 4 and Highway 19 to reasonably dry and clear. It’s nice in Port Alberni and there are only light flurries falling in some parts of Nanaimo this is slated to continue today until it all finally clears away by tonight.
The main topic for the next couple days though will be the cold. It will reach -10C to -17C with the windchill around the Island.
The weekend is looking really quite snowy. More on that later tonight.
In the meantime, bundle up and enjoy the winter sunshine!
