There is a special weather statement for the south and east island but looking at both the radar and lightning tracker, I have never seen anything quite like what is moving up through northern Washington right now!

We’ll see if it is as intense once it hits Vancouvee Island but I would be prepared for something pretty severe at least for what we are used to. There will also be potential fire starts from this as well,
Judging by the speed on the radar, I wouldn’t expect any lightning to reach Port Alberni until 2-4AM.
Might be an interesting sleep!
