We haven’t seen a forecast this wet really since November or even September.
I’ll let the pictures do most of the talking. Here’s the forecast for the whole week.
We should get a little drizzle overnight, but the rain should be in full swing by this time tomorrow morning. The first waves are forecast to come around 4AM tomorrow.
By the morning of Wednesday we should have around 8mm of rain.
Things increase from there with another 8-12mm of rain falling through Wednesday.
Another solid 8mm falls Thursday.
It is starting to add up. We should be around 25mm total through the work week. But the best is slated to come on Friday.
We are looking at over 60mm of rain Friday through early Saturday morning.
On Saturday it tapers off with only a few more millimetres falling.
But the damage will have been done. We should tally around 80mm of rain of this forecast holds. That will be more than double what we got all December and it should be great news for the ski hills and the snowpack.
Oh, and speaking of snow, congrats to Deb who won the snow contest and to whom I finally delivered her prize!
There were a ton of people down at the Polar Bear Swim! It was a great time! I went in… But didn’t stay in for long!
This is a much better image of me than a few nanoseconds before when I couldn’t breath and had a look of pain on my face.
Happy New Year all!
