A quick update for star gazers since the skies are relatively clear this morning, if you look to the East towards Mt. Arrowsmith you should see some bright stars. On top is Saturn, a little bit below and to the left is Venus (which may be hidden behind the mountain) and if we could actually see the horizon we’d see Mercury as well all in a line.

It’s not often in December that we get mornings clear enough to see the planets.
The rain showers will come and go for the rest of the week. The freezing level is dropping so be careful on the mountain passes. There was a lot of sleet on the hump last night and this morning there was Freezing Rain reported on Sutton Pass.
There is a possibility for some flurries on Saturday. That should be our coldest day of the next week or so. Rain is supposed to push in Sunday so we might see some snow in the transition.
