It’s hard to think of a better forecast than what we have for this week… except perhaps if it included the weekend. 🙂
Monday: The cloud you see is just fog. Head up or over the hump and it’s crystal clear. This fog should burn off by 11AM. As you can see in the humidity charts that start off blue this morning at 8AM and are yellow, below 50% humidity, by 11AM.
A big beautiful high pressure area is going to build up from the south over the next two days. Here is today’s jetstream flowing over top of us.
Here it is on Tuesday starting to curve (a weak bit of rain might reach us Tuesday)
Here it is fully contorted and headed north of us allowing warm Southwest US air to reach up into our area.
And will it ever be warm!
Tuesday highs: 18°C
Wednesday, watch out! Highs: 24°C
Thursday, possible record highs over 26°C. This is hotter than the chart shows below, but it is a lower resolution chart that I expect will show the higher temperatures once the forecast is close enough (later this morning) to have a high resolution look.
The heat does look like it will come to a quick end as the high pressure weakens on Friday and moves East but highs may still reach near the upper teens.
The record high for today at the Airport is 23.8°C so that gives an indication that we could be in record territory later this week if we get into the 25-26°C. We won’t know until the day of.
Happy Monday. Have a great week!
