May Long Weekend Forecast – Damp & Cool – Before then, Great!

Minus a bit of cool fog in the morning, it is going to be a great week before May Long Weekend!

Summary:

We will start cool every morning this week with likelihood of fog or low cloud. But it will be dry and warm-to-hot every afternoon through Thursday. Friday and into the weekend looks cooler and possibly damp. So you might want to consider that for your long weekend plans.

Details:

We might get some high clouds that could temper our daily highs, but if all goes as forecast we should see highs of 24º C today, 26º C Tuesday, 28º C Wednesday, and 26º C Thursday.

For the long week weekend, the initial forecasts, which can of course change, don’t look too great for campers. It drops right down to only 11º C on Friday afternoon and looks downright chilly and raining on the West Coast by then.

Points on the central and east Island look dry until Saturday morning. Your campfire should get started finally by afternoon Saturday and you’ll need it to keep you warm and dry through the night and into the morning of Sunday. It then looks like it should dry out Sunday afternoon through Monday. So hopefully those two days work out the best!
