A little bit of everything.
Summary:
We will see rain, probably some wind, some sunny breaks (like right now!) and then all of it all over again. There are no big systems on tap so it will be difficult to predict timing so you will want to just be prepared. Wear a t-shirt under your light rain jacket, keep the umbrella handy and if you don’t like the weather, just wait five minutes. 🙂
Details:
This mornings satellite picture shows a nice swirly low off the north coast that gave us rain on Sunday and overnight. It didn’t add up to much though. A total of only 3.3 mm fell Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
It will be much the same through the first part of the week. We should stay mostly dry for the rest of Monday but spotty showers will return Tuesday afternoon.
Wednesday looks interesting, at least for the South Island. A good bout of rain predicted down there. There might be some wind associated with that as well.
From Thursday on it looks like it should get progressively drier and warmer and by the 1st June we should have some very nice temperatures into the twenties.
