More rain Thursday night and Friday dry weekend

The open burning ban for larger fires is now lifted. We received 18 mm of rain at the Airport over the past couple days. We will receive more as a system comes through late tonight and lingers through Friday morning.

It will be strongest between 11PM and 2AM.

From this afternoon through Friday at 5PM we should receive another 8 mm or so of rain.

No matter what we will be well short of the 100 mm of rain the CMC model predicted we would have received by this time this week. The University of Washington wins again. 🙂

There is also a chance for a thunderstorm late this afternoon as well but not a huge chance.

The weekend looks dry and pleasant. There will be another pulse of rain on Monday but after that we should get a break for a week or so to end September and then more rain should come by late next week.

Happy Thursday!
