UPDATE: Tsunami Advisory continued

The advisory and warning regions have not changed. Tsunami observations are updated below.
The Tsunami Warning continues in effect for the coastal areas of California and Oregon from Point Concepcion, California to the Oregon-Washington border.
The Tsunami Advisory continues in effect for the coastal areas of California from the California-Mexico border to Point Concepcion, California.
The Tsunami Advisory continues in effect for the coastal areas of Washington, British Columbia and Alaska from the Oregon-Washington border to Attu, Alaska.

A small Tsunami is currently underway in Port Alberni.
Multiple eyewitnesses are reporting seeing unusual water movement near Catalyst paper mill, the flats there and the current in the Somass River reversing one way then the other.
A Tsunami Advisory remains.

It looks like there is not going to be a flooding Tsunami. However, the current activity could get worse and it will last for next few hours.
A Tsunami is not one wave, it is a series of waves. This is what we are seeing now.
Stay away from the harbour or river. Currents and streams will be unpredictable.

I was just looking at Big Wave Dave cam…..last 10 images and that BC ferry docked down there was moving quite a bit…..
