The fantastic weather should continue. There will be a few clouds tonight and tomorrow but they’ll just move on through and be replaced with more sun and warm temperatures.
I’m hoping that this weather is going to stick around for the entire month of August. No promises, the end of August is usually iffy… but lets hope we have some good weather banked after our less-than-satisfactory July.
The ‘new’ webcam I have brought online has now replaced the previous webcam. I still have the old one, because I don’t think I will have the new one permanently, but for now, it’s pretty awesome.
You will now be able check out the daily videos in HD quality video on Youtube at http://www.youtube.com/alberniweather. Technically the camera isn’t “HD” aspect ratio, so it’s stretched, but it’s plenty high enough resolution for it.
The video below is actually parts of Aug 5, 6 and 7. The 2nd night I managed to get some fantastic timelapse of the moon and stars moving across the sky.
I’m actually thinking about where else I could point the camera, since the City lights actually limit the stars I can see, I thought maybe a North window might be better for that. It’s hooked up to a laptop, so I can move it anywhere I have power.
