Back to cool and dry but foggy

Not too much to report on the weather front for the coming days. We are back into the pattern we had in December of cool and dry weather. This is really starting to turn into a remarkably dry and snow-less winter which could cause problems for some areas (East island and Victoria) that depend on relatively small sources of snowpack for summer drinking water.

The drought will not too long this time at least. Looks like we are setting up for a good shot of rain in the 150mm range sometime around middle to late next week.

More details to come as the forecast models settle on a solution.

Hey Chris, not sure if you noticed tonight, but EC is predicting snow for the West Coast and Alberni Valley on Sunday and Monday. Long range forecast I know, but wonder if it will actually happen.

Oh ya, it’s also hovering around -1.0C here right now. Brrrrrr!
