It’s an easy forecast for the weekend so I’ll keep it short!
We’ll have clouds today and Saturday with a chance of an afternoon shower popping up but nothing like we saw earlier in the week.
It will clear up by Sunday when we are expected to get up to 29ºC in the sun. Monday should be just as sunny again and 28ºC.
Fire Danger down to Low
There is great news on the fire front. This week’s rains has knocked the fire danger right down over the whole Island. The Central Island is now low, the North and South are Moderate.
Be warned though, there are plenty of dry areas all over the Island so please be careful with your campfires, bring lots of water and keep them as small as possible.
There haven’t been any updates on the website as to the status of the wildfires sparked by Wednesday’s lightning storm but given the lack of media coverage hopefully that means they are OK.
Stay safe out there, have a fun weekend and see you at the Canada Day Parade on Monday! It should be a hot one!
