Mix of rain and flurries Sunday afternoon and into Monday.
It is the last day of meteorological fall, even though the solstice isn’t for another 20 days, meteo-winter starts on Sunday and it feels like it!
Alberniweather HQ got down to -7.0°C this morning and the Airport got to 10.0°C.
We will stay clear and cold today, and tonight but clouds will begin to invade Sunday morning and precipitation will come onto the South Island, Cowichan and south, by noon.
There will be a threat of rain or flurries from noon Sunday through Monday morning. What type of precipitation will depend on how much cold air sticks in the Valleys but at this point we should expect mostly rain or light some soggy slush from the sky.
The higher elevations will probably see more snow.
