Hello sunshine!
Our first full week of meteorological spring is upon us as we march toward daylight savings time this weekend and astronomical spring and the Vernal Equinox on March 20 at 2:58PM(PDT).
It will be clear and sunny for the next couple days but it will feel cold in the mornings. That cold will keep a chance of snow in our long range forecast for Thursday and Friday when a weak bit of precipitation is expected to place itself over the Island mainly on Friday morning.
The models are having some technical difficulties this morning so I won’t go into any more detail than that. Except I will point out the Canadian 16 day model has us gradually warming all the way to March 20. It also has this stretch of clear weather ending about the 10th with a pattern of rain starting after that.
It was very nice to wake up this morning and see light in the sky at 6AM. I will be sad to be back in darkness next Monday after we “leap” ahead! Maybe one day we will pick a time and stick with it! 😉
Enjoy the sunshine. We should get up to 5 or 6°C this afternoon! Spring is coming!
