Dry Saturday
We had a little bit of rain over night last night. That should be it for today though. Expect it to stay cloudy and dry with temperatures up to around 5-8ºC.
The rain will return overnight tonight starting around midnight.
It will be fairly strong in the 1-4AM hour. There is a slight chance this will fall as snow at higher elevations and Sproat Lake and the Hump might see some slush, but probably not.
Showers will continue through the morning on Sunday but it should stop and possibly clear in some areas by 1PM except for the extreme South Island.
Coldest Night of the Year – Walk and Fundraiser is TODAY!
The Alberni Community And Women’s Society is holding its biggest fundraiser of the year today! If you can’t make it down there but don’t mind donating online, you can donate straight to the ACAWS team here.
Everything gets going at 2PM. You can pay (donate!) and register starting at 2PM. The Walk starts at 3:15PM. Everything is at the Legion this year!
You can do 2KM, 5KM or 10KM!
There will be free hotdogs for everyone before the walk and there is a huge silent auction table! Registered walkers will also receive a wonderful warm meal and refreshments after completing their walk!
See you there!
