Cool June

We’ve had a pretty cool June, apparently Vancouver has had the coolest start to June since records began in the 1930s.

The NOAA text data (links below the forecast) indicate that we’re a few degrees below normal as well on average though I don’t think we’ve been quite as bad off as Vancouver. We’ve had a lot of nice warm afternoons.

Just as long as my tomatoes can grow I’ll be happy, but I have a feeling it’s going to be a pretty grey summer overall.

Yes we planted our tomatoes a couple weekends ago. They really shivered for the first week but this past week they’ve grown quite a bit! We have them staked and they seem pretty happy. They really didn’t like blowing in the wind either.
