Contrary to the official forecast which seems to give hope of showers early this week, the UWash model is not nearly as optomistic.
Here is the 72hr, 3 day, total expected for our region.
As you can see, from Monday 5AM to Thursday 5AM, only a few millimeters (0.08in) of rain is expected to fall on our Valley. The vast majority of the rain will be focused on points East. Especially the Fraser Valley and the east coast of the Island. We seem only likely to get a little bit of leftovers as the flow of the system is from the East rather than the more usual southwest.
There will be cloudy periods theough the week but it should remain pleasantly warm with highs over 20°C every day. By Friday we will be back to the heat and sun.
Happy Monday everyone. I am going to try to pump out the May monthly summary today. It is one for the record books I think.
