I saw snow on Mt. Arrowsmith on the weekend. And anyone who was out trick-or-treating on Sunday night will know that when that rain came, it was a COLD rain….. sooooooooooooo….. that means it’s time for the Alberniweather Snow Contest!
When will we get the first measureable amount of snow on the ground at Alberniweather Headquarters (Central Port).
Here are the rules:
#1: You must pick a date, hour, and minute (eg. July 3 12:45).
#2: Closest time wins.
#3: You must enter your guess in the comments section of this post.
#4: You can only pick once, so choose carefully.
#5: You have 2 weeks to make your choices, choices must be entered by 6AM Tuesday, November 16, 2010.
#6: If my wife (Theresa) wins she will get a prize as will the next closest contestant.
#7: A measureable amount is generally when the snow completely covers the ground with no gaps and registers at least 1cm on a standard ruler or tape measure. Snow must be measured on the ground on grass, rather than a deck, or sidewalk or road.
#8: I reserve the right to add to these rules since I probably missed something. 🙂

So that’s it. Start picking! As your guesses start to come in I will put them on a Google Calendar so that you can see them all.

I would like to pull my vote of 5am on nov 18, I feel that I was unfair to put that vote in. I also agree with Eve that it was nasty.
Dan you don’t have to pull your vote if you don’t want to. Nothing against the rules or nasty about it. Just some friendly competition, which is all good.
It’s just the way these contests sometimes happens… who knows, we might not even get any snow on the ground on Thursday. Nothing is for sure!
