The fog and sun combination that we have seen for the past few days should continue for a couple more. We had some record breaking warmth on the weekend thanks to the Sunny afternoons!
On wednesday afternoon a weak front will move down from the north and deliver around 8mm of rain to the area by Thursday morning.
Another 8mm will fall by Friday morning as well.
It then looks like it will dry up for the weekend. We’ve had a pretty luck streak the past few weekends!
Unfortunately this moisture will not be enough to add much to the snowpack on the South Island which still remains at zero.
There is nothing in the long range forecasts (out to March 10) that screams snow to me for the mountains or otherwise. Lets keep our fingers crossed that that changes.
Happy Monday all! Enjoy the sun!
