I just happened to check the forecast on the frontpage here just now and what I did see in the forecast for next week but the number 33? Oh ho ho, now could it be that we finally have summer waiting in the wings.
Stock up those coolers, go fill the propane tank, make sure the blinds are good and dark on the upstairs windows, and get the fans out of the basement because it looks like summer is on its way folks!
And just in time for our camping trip on the 12th YAY!

35C for Thursday July 8th from EC now!
Ya! I just noticed that at exactly the same time I think! ๐
Yikes… that’s certainly hotter than what the GFS model has been calling for for the past week or so.
We’ll see if it holds. Summer might just come with a vengeance! ๐
I don’t see at 33, but I do see 30, 34, 36, 35 all in a row. Sure glad I work in the freezers during the day.
Ya they’ve amped up the forecast just a little ๐
I wouldn’t be surprised if they did the same for the weekend as well.
Yikes, I guess I should be looking out for that fog bank! Sounds like we’re gonna need it!
Don’t you hate it when the weather we’ve been waiting for all year finally arrives and all day you hear, “It’s too hot!” Move to Iceland I say!
I think we’ll have a winner in the Summer Contest tomorrow – my guess is it’ll be Tanis at 3:30.
I’m thinking you’re right!
Not everyone likes the heat, elderly don’t people who work outdoors might not. Some people woork in buildings without air conditioning, so I doubt they would like the heat. My guess that people who work graveyard don’t like it, it’s to sleep during the day, the same with people who start work at 4 or 5 am, and go to bed at 8pm. Yes a lot of people like the heat, but not everyone does.
You’re quite right Anonymous. Heat can be very dangerous. We’re lucky here that we don’t get the humidity to go along with the heat like they do out East and it also tends to cool down quite a bit at night rather than hover around 25C .
Stay safe everyone. Lots of sunscreen and water or juice. Coke and Beer taste great but make you more thirsty. ๐
Looks like Natalie is the winner! 30C crossed at 12:30PM!
This is for the people that don’t care for the heat…. http://www.wunderground.com/global/stations/89606.html
