I’ve had lots more entries for the Snow Contest! Keep them coming, tell your friends, share it on Facebook. You only have until 6AM on Monday to enter for your chance to win a prize from Healthy Habits.
I’ve received and set up my new webcam. It is a Canon G6. I am cropping the image so that it is ‘widescreen’ aspect ratio and removes a lot of the buildings on the bottom. It looks pretty nice I think. 🙂 The nighttime performance won’t be quite as great as the DSLR, but it’s not bad. I will mess around a little with the settings to get the best quality picture I can. And it’s still far better than what the Stardot camera is capable of.
The weather is looking decent for today. Rain should start overnight, but nothing too big. There will be a bit more cold air come at us on Monday and Tuesday and then it looks like another bout of rain for midweek.
The long range forecast is looking….. soggy and chilly. 🙂
Good luck with the contest and have a great weekend!
P.S. Aside: If you’d like to check out some video from the Port Alberni Mayors All Candidates Meeting held on Thursday I have a Youtube playlist here.

A little more of the roofline would be good… was always nice to tell if frost had formed and then melted etc.
I agree! Adjusting….
Great Image!
Thanks Bill 🙂 I have my eye on a wide-angle lens for the camera next.
Wide angle HD would be cool 😉
