Rain starts Monday evening – Through Wednesday then Sun.

Happy November!

We’re starting out the month with a very typical bit of rain in the next 24-72 hours.

The rain has already begun on the North end of the Island but it won’t slide south until this evening. Below is the forecast for this afternoon from 1-4PM. Notice it only reaches down as far as Campbell River.

Even by 10PM today the rain is only forecast to have gotten as far south as Tofino and Ucluelet with lighter showers in Port Alberni and Courtenay.

Things start to move in the 10PM-1AM period overnight. Expect heavy rain as you’re sleeping tonight in Port Alberni, Courtenay and points north of Nanoose Bay.

By 4AM the front has slid down the entire Island and all areas should be receiving rain or showers.

By the 7-10AM period on Tuesday the rain will have ended for all areas except extreme southern parts of the Island.

However, we’re not done with the rain just yet.

More showers Tuesday night

Another system, weaker and quicker than the first, comes through Tuesday night. Below are the pictures from 7-10PM and 10PM-1AM Tuesday night.

You can see it’s not nearly as intense.

More rain and wind Wednesday followed by sun and cool temperatures.

Another system along with a low will move through on Wednesday. I’ll post more about it tomorrow, however, after we get through this rain we should see a nice stretch of sun and cool temperatures that might even last until Remembrance Day.

Happy Monday!
