Unfortunately, the warm beautiful weather is coming to an end. We had a perfect sunrise this morning.
But, as the adage goes… “Sunrise in morning, sailors warning”.
And we certainly do have something coming at us:
We can expect the main band of rain showers to reach us by around 5PM tonight
Most of the rain today will be hitting the North Island.
But it will slide down toward the south Island this evening after 5PM.
And then the unsettled mess behind the first system will spread more forcefully across the entire south coast on Saturday morning.
The model shows the Alberni Valley not being the hardest hit, but still getting about 8 mm of rain between 5AM Saturday and 5AM Sunday.
And then another 8mm on for the following time period Sunday.
More rain is coming for Monday. Fall is a few days early!
