Do you remember that day?

This morning John Cassidy at the Natural Resources Canada earthquake centre in Victoria tweeted about the 6.8M earthquake that happened 18 years ago today in Seattle, Washington.

Feb. 28, 2001: A M6.8 earthquake rocked Seattle, rolled #Victoria, and was felt across much of southern British Columbia. This was a deep earthquake in the subducting Juan de Fuca plate.

So I thought I would tell the story of my experience from that earthquake. I was a relatively new employee of Malaspina University College (Now Vancouver Island University).
