So the site seems to have fixed itself… actually, I think it was my Energy Blog (which resides on the same server) that was causing the problems. I got an email from my webhost saying I was taking too much resources and could I please tone the data down a little. *teehee*. It seems to be happier now, I haven’t received any failed loading messages for a long time. So either you guys have all left and I’m talking to myself, or it’s fixed.
Should be another hot one today! We got up to 23.1C yesterday! I believe Nick over by the Multiplex registered around 22C so it wasn’t just me up on the ladder with the blow dryer.
We’ll get a little more cloud and normal temperatures after today, so make sure you get out and enjoy it!

Nah, I only bring out the ladder and the blow dryer when the wind gear freezes up! 😉
well it *was* 0.00C this morning! 😉
Yup.. but no moisture to freeze things up. it looks like I came in at 0.3 for the low over here.
Even the West Coast saw some shine today. We got up to about 15C, but darned if I didn’t need the A/C in the truck on our little foray up to Long Beach.
Was nice up there too. Water was almost flat. Dunno why surfers were out, didn’t look like anything worth surfing on!
Hey Chris, if one was headed out to Barcaly Sound(Bamfield way) tomorrow(up the Alberni Inlet), what do you expect the weather to be like. The radar looks scary to me, but I don’t really know how to read it. Any thoughts or help? Answers are welcome from any of you knowledgeable weather guys. Need to know wind/rain predictions for the whole weekend.
Thanks in advance.
Happy Easter to all!!!!
Hi Eve!
Your best bet is to check out the Marine weather forecast on the EC webpages.
You can get to it through the Weather Reports on the left –> Marine –> Pacific EnvCan
Click on the region nearest us and they will give you wind and wave forecasts for the next few days.
Its supposed to be fairly windy and probably only nice Saturday. It won’t be horrible, but I’d bring the gravol anyway. 🙂
Thank You!
I’m familiar with the 24hr. clock but how do you get a sunset time of 27:02 in your almanac? Am I missing something???
That’s a good question!
I think it’s a bug in the software that only happens around 4PM (near 00 GMT). I haven’t been able to figure out why it does it but rest assured once it hits 4PM I believe its OK.
I’ll continue to try to ferret out the bug. 🙂
That’s OK I just click on US units and get the ol’ standard numbers I grew up with!
