Just noticed an updated Forecast statement tonight at 7:23PM calling for wet snow on “higher terrain”. Keep an eye out on the Hump, also Sproat Lake area. This is all setting up well for what could be a very snowy Friday night on the East Coast of the Island.
As the big low pressure center slides down the cost the Arctic air will come in behind it and once that center is off of Washington the winds should shift to the NorthEast and get some lake-effect type snow in Nanaimo?
No winners for the snow contest yet! But maybe soon!

O.K. That’s just nasty…………….all the “good” weather is either just north of us or just south of us. Our turn please!
Wow, Just took the dog out and the sundeck is icy, as well as the railings. Out Beaver Creek………My temp outside is hovering just above zero.
And I just realised that my website wasn’t updating! Doh! Coming back now.
Drove through a brief but moderate snowfall on the top of the hump right on the corner as you turn towards the truck pullout on the way into town about 25 minutes ago.
