It was a fantastic and hot weekend. We did not break any records but it was still plenty hot enough to jump in the lake at the Park or the ocean at Canal Beach and the thermal winds picked up right on schedule to propel the Alberni Canal Downwind Challenge participants Up the inlet to the harbour on Saturday.
Today/Monday will be hot again with temperatures up to 29°C (84°F) in the valley and City.
Things shift on Tuesday and we cool off considerably, down below 20°C, with a chance of showers in the evening and overnight. The greatest chance of showers will be between 8-11PM.
We have a few chances of showers on Wednesday but nothing worth showing here until Friday morning when we have another bit of showers in the 5-8AM hours.
After that it looks like the threat of rain will back off completely on the weekend and temperatures could build back into the mid to upper 20s next week.
Don’t forget it is bike to work week this week! Tons of great stuff happening and the cooler weather should make it just about perfect!
Happy Monday!
