Here is a special forecast just for the Thunder in the Valley weekend!
We are going to get a bit of a change in the weather, and it should bring about pretty good conditions for checking out the racers at the Airport!
Saturday
We are starting out clear. Anyone out for some fishing should be pretty happy.
This mornings satellite image shows clouds creeping up from the south.
This is right inline with the UWash model forecast from last night. The 2PM cloud forecast shows us clouded over… But I’m expecting it to maybe get here a little early. We should cloud over by just after noon.
Either way, it should give us some relief from the heat and make for a better time out at the track.
There is no rain at all in the model. It should clear up by evening and give us a chance to see some Perseid meteors before the clouds and some fog returns in the morning.
Sunday
It looks like it will start out generally cloudy. And likely foggy on the Inlet and a tiny chance of showers. Here is 8AM
By noon, it should have all burned off and it should be a warm afternoon, though not up into the 30s which is good.
With the dry weather continuing, and so many people and activity, please be fire aware.. The fire rating remains extreme. If you see smoke, call 911 or *5555. Stay safe and have fun at the races! Good luck to all the drivers!
