Thank you all for entering in the snow contest! It looks like we just made it under the wire because there is a chance for light flurries as soon as Sunday!
Today will be variable, we will likely have some showers sweep through plus sunny breaks. Below you can see that on Thursday morning we will get some more persistent showers.
Another, stronger batch of rain will come on Friday. And then… It’s going to get Cold.
Friday afternoon during the rain, 7°C
Friday night: cold strong northwesterly winds, cold creeping down
Saturday morning wind continuing, near 0°C
Saturday will get colder, not warmer during the day… Saturday night below zero
Sunday morning -5°C
But will we get snow? I don’t think so. Much to the chagrin of Spazz and my lovely wife who both guessed Sunday. :). The air mass is looking too dry for snow. We need some moisture to come in and it looks as though it will warm up on Monday before the rain comes Tuesday morning.
That said, you never know. There might be snow in the air at least on the weekend. Watch for ice on the roads. Winter is coming!
