I set up automatic creation of a movie of the day’s images (5 minute intervals).
There is a link from the Full Size Webcam page (click on the webcam image below, or in the Webcam Menu)…
There will also be individual links to each day under the Weather Archive –> Station Almanacs –> Full Page Webcam –> Date.
The Animations are very big. Almost 40MB. I’ll be creating smaller versions later. But just so you know, if you’re on a Cable or DSL connection it will take you 5 – 10 minutes to download. If you’re on modem, you may not want to bother.
UPDATE: When I was moving the webcam, I tried in a vain attempt to make faces at the camera… but as usual, I have been out done by our cat.
Expect rain today… I’ll be attempting to fully weatherproof the camera.

i was just lookin at your webcam and when i highlight it it says location: port alberni summit still. just fyi. not that it matter, its obviously not the summit,,,, is it. lol
Haha.. good catch. Fixed now. I also apologize for the coloring not quite acting right. Doing a few too many things lately to keep up with myself. 🙂
Meow!
Where abouts in Port are you? Don’t need your address or anything, just area?
I’m near Redford School/The Salvation Army.
Are you facing down the inlet with the cam or towards the arrowsmith range?
Down the Inlet
And payed for it with a sunburned sensor (the pink streak). I was told by the people at Stardot that it’d be OK to point the camera that way… it wouldn’t damage the camera… but it did… they’re sending me a replacement. 😉
Great cloudscapes today though!!
